We are bursting with pride to announce that our very own Brent Ludlow was recently honored at the District Board Meeting with the "I Love Teaching" Award! While Mr. Ludlow is usually the one behind the scenes as our school webmaster and tech guru, it was time to put him in the spotlight. Whether he’s helping a colleague with a tech emergency, making his students laugh with his famous "No, no, no!" catchphrases, or ensuring every child feels safe and prepared for the future, Brent embodies the heart of Orchard Springs. We are so lucky to have his leadership, humor, and expertise in our hallways. Please join us in congratulating Mr. Ludlow on this well-deserved recognition!

In First Grade, the learning never stops! This extra day represents our commitment to keep growing and staying "paws-itively" awesome as we become confident readers and math masters.

Tail-Wagging Highlights:
Cruella & Her Crew: Teachers channeled their inner (but kinder!) Cruella de Vil.
Spot-On Style: The room was a sea of black-and-white spots and puppy ears.
101% Effort: We tackled special 101-themed challenges to show off our skills!

Huge thanks to our families for helping us reach this milestone. We’re ready to fetch even more knowledge! 🐾❤️

"The beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you." — B.B. King

It’s not just about the number 100; it’s about the progress. In just 100 days, our kindergarteners have:

Learned their letters and sounds.
Mastered counting to 100 (of course!).
Developed the kindness and patience to work as a team.

A huge thank you to all the parents and guardians for your support during this first leg of the journey. We have many more adventures ahead, but for today, we’re pausing to cheer for 100 days of hard work and heart.

Respect pays off in the coolest way! ❄️

Our 1st graders were captivated by a special visit from Principal Miller today to celebrate earning 20 class owls for demonstrating respectful behavior throughout the school. The students had a blast getting creative with clay, scarves, and mittens to build their very own snowman friends. It truly was "snowman heaven" in the classroom today! 🧤✨

Today, we had the absolute privilege of hearing from Tom Burton, who shared his incredible journey of climbing Mt. Everest with our upper grades. His story inspired us all to keep pushing forward on our own journey: logging those reading minutes to conquer "Mindset Mountain!" 📚🧗

A huge thank you to Wasatch Peak Credit Union for helping us keep the momentum going! They brought the spirit (and the snow! ❄️) with their life-size mountain float and music. Our Owls loved posing in front of the peak! 📸

Keep reading and keep climbing, Owls!
