During the month of March and April, our 5th-graders worked really hard on their wax museum research project. They were able to present their speeches for the school and their parents at the end of April. This is a fun activity that they look forward to doing each year.

STEM Day 2025

Orchard Springs held their first writing contest. All participants were able to attend a writing workshop today. Author Amy Crawford was our special guest, and students were able to learn more about the writing process. Winners of the contest were announced, and they will be attending StoryCon next week in Salt Lake City. Great job to all the Owls that participated!

Happy School Counselors Week to our Amazing Counselor, Mrs. Call! The kids also know her as Mrs. Peanut Butter. Here, she is teaching a lesson on perspective and point of view. She visits every class once a week and provides valuable life lessons they will carry with them long beyond OSE. She also coordinates our Hope Squad and offers individual and group support to many students. We LOVE you, Mrs. Call!

Mrs. Shuman's 2nd grade Readers Theaters. This is a great time of year to show-off our reading skills! My class did a wonderful job presenting to their parents - super good at reading their parts and following along while their classmates read their parts. Many were quite nervous but really stepped up and were amazing!

Second Grades fun field trip to a winter wonderland: Swanson's North Fork Discovery Center! Where students got to try their skills at cross country skiing and snow shoeing! No better place than to be out in nature!
