HOPE Week

Weber United

October 2nd through October 6th

Monday

Light the Night (Community Activity)

Please join us in facilitating a community blackout at 7:45 p.m. Turn out as many lights as possible, helping us to see the spotlights on the mountain at 8:00 p.m.

The light shown will represent the unity and strength we feel as a Weber Cone, and how hope can be seen by all, even during difficult times.

When you see the spotlights turn on, please turn your porch lights back on, representing the light and hope we each spread, and the strength we all have within ourselves, and within our community.

Tuesday

Community Night at Weber High School (Sponsored by Weber Communities that Care)

From 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, there will be mental health awareness booths and food trucks at Weber High School in the east parking lot. (Note: The food trucks are not free this year.)

From 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Richard Paul Evans will present. Richard Paul Evans is the bestselling author of the Michael Vey books.  He will share a message of resilience, strength, and hope.

Friday

STEM Day at Orchard Springs Elementary

STEM Day was organized by the PTO.  THANK YOU!!!!!

Our students' futures are bright! Students will participate in a STEM Day at Orchard Springs.

    • Students (K-6) will attend two STEM Assemblies.
    • Students in third through sixth grade have registered to attend three classes.  There were able to select from 23 different classes presented by members of the community.
    • Students in kindergarten through second grade will participate in STEM activities in their classrooms.

Please encourage your child to talk about their activities during Hope Week. We believe our students have bright futures and are so excited to have the opportunity to work with them.
