What I Do For Fun

I started a family book club that is now entering its fourth year.  It includes my husband, our 5 children, their spouses and our 6 grandchildren.  Everyone chooses a book and submits it randomly, so part of the fun is guessing who chose the book that month.  We decorate and have a dinner based on the book’s theme, location or a character’s preferences. Book subjects have included biographies, history, self-help, religion, politics, mysteries and fairytales.  It is a bit chaotic, but there are always wonderful ideas and conversation!

The Best Parts of My Job

Being a school nurse has always been my dream job, and it is everything I hoped it would be!  I love seeing the students and talking with them everyday. I am in awe of the teachers and staff that work with the students and feel grateful to be part of such an amazing team.

Where

I worked in the pediatric intensive care unit at Primary Children’s Hospital, Johns Hopkins Hospital and Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland where I was also on the pediatric transport team. I was also part of the research team for the National Lung Screening Trial at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
