Minutes

  • Review February Minutes

    • Monica Cameron motioned to accept February minutes. Sarah Heilig seconded.
  • Review MOY Progress for Math

  • Review and vote on the 2023-24 School LAND Trust Plan

      • Bill from this year’s Chromebooks and it came in higher than last year’s budget. Prices have gone up so we need to adjust for that in our final plan budget.
      • Admin feedback told us that if we have action items in our plan where we haven’t allocated money and don’t plan on spending any money, we should take them out. Most likely district reviewers will ask us to take those items out anyway.
      • Review goals and substance of the plan.
      • Research shows 80% or more ability in Tier 1 instruction before utilizing Tier II and Tier III instruction for students.
      • Double-check to make sure budget amounts in the plan and budget align.
      • Only $1.00 carryover from last year
  • Sign School LAND Trust Council Signature Form

  • Community Council Membership 2023-24

      • No longer term limits, but reelection required
      • We will lose three council members next year (Alicia Willoughby, Monica Cameron, and Lacey Boggess)
      • How many seats do we need to open for next year?
        • Council consensus is to open three seats for 2023-2024 OSE SCC.
  • Review Acadiance Math Data handouts. Shows BOY and MOY scores for 2022-2023 school year.

    • All growth is worth celebrating!
    • Trust LANDS funds allow for two math aides in every grade level.
    • Second grade level test doesn’t align with our core curriculum or essential learning target, which explains some of the data for Grade 2. The models we teach don’t always lend well to a timed test.
